Hi, my name is Bonnie, and I am addicted to genealogy!

I have fallen victim to an addiction to genealogy.
I just can't seem to quit.
It is like one gigantic jigsaw puzzle, where even the tiniest new piece that fits in is so exciting to find!
I have gathered an enormous amount of information on Virginia immigrants and their descendants in my Family Tree Maker genealogy program.
It is an amazing trip, following some of these descendants to other parts of the nation, while others dig their roots in even deeper right here in Virginia.
I was quite astonished at the rate of intermarriages of these immigrants' descendants, and at just how many of the families are connected.
I still am.
It has taken a lot of time in reading and recording the information, time many others do not have, or simply do not wish to invest.
Trips to graveyards, which I have dubbed, "grave-hopping," trips to courthouses, libraries, etc, consume a lot of my time.
But, I love it all.
So, why not offer to others the results of the time spent and the work done over a period of eight years, thus far.
It is not a finished work, by any means. Not even the individual immigrant files, since new information is discovered and added, daily.
There are many generations to cover between the birth of our nation and the present.
But, enough has already been recorded to make it worth while to the public.
Since the addiction is still with me, I intend to offer updates in the future, probably annually.
But, at present, I am busy breaking the data file down into individual immigrant files.
Once this is accomplished, I may offer the entire updated file on DVD, as well. I'm still considering it, anyway.
